World’s best teams confirmed for strongest ever Ford RideLondon Classique

The Ford RideLondon Classique will welcome the strongest and most competitive field of elite teams in its history in 2024.

Headlined by the world’s leading team in 2023, Team SD Worx-Protime, the 2024 field will include four of the top five teams from the 2023 end-of-season rankings with Lidl-Trek, Canyon//SRAM and UAE Team ADQ also confirmed.

Team dsm-firmenich PostNL (formerly Team DSM), who have won every edition of the Classique since it became a stage race in 2022, will also return and attempt to secure a third successive crown, following wins in 2022 (Lorena Wiebes) and 2023 (Charlotte Kool).

Team SD Worx-Protime have topped the world rankings every year since 2021 and won an incredible 60 races in 2023. They have started the 2024 season in imperious form, winning three of the four stages at this month’s UAE Tour. They boast 2022 and 2019 Ford RideLondon Classique champion Wiebes among their star riders, as well as the current World Champion, Lotte Kopecky.

In total, 11 UCI Women’s WorldTour teams and nine UCI Continental teams will compete in the 2024 Ford RideLondon Classique, including four teams from Great Britain and Ireland: Lifeplus-Wahoo, DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK, Doltcini O’Shea and Torelli.

Scott Sunderland, Ford RideLondon Classique Race Director, said: “The strength of the elite field we have assembled for the 2024 Ford RideLondon Classique is indicative of the growth and prestige of the race year-on-year. This race gets stronger each year and is attracting the world’s best teams such as Team SD Worx-Protime who, without a doubt, have the best squad of riders on the planet.

“At the other end of the scale, we are delighted to again provide a platform to four British teams to showcase their riders. With the well documented problems in the professional road racing scene in the UK, it’s so important that we offer both a world-class event that brings the best riders to this country to inspire the next generation but also gives home-grown teams and riders a chance to shine on the highest stage.”
